I loved it!! I had my usual favorites that always find a way to speak to me and then I had some sneak up on me and bam!! I have so much to work on - but am grateful that I can have the time to work on myself and these reminders to help get back on track!
Just a few things that touched my heart and opened my eyes...
Pres. Boyd K. Packer - "Family time is sacred time." "Your first calling from which you will never be released is that of husband or wife and parent." "Life was never meant to be easy or fair."
Sister Cheryl Esplin: "We are not just to teach our children doctrine, but teach them to understand the doctrine." " Be ready for everyday teaching moments - create an atmosphere where the spirit can be felt."
Pres. Henry B. Eyring: "If the foundation of faith is not embedded in our hearts, the power to endure will crumble." I loved his whole talk and it truly spoke to my heart!
Elder Jeffrey R. Holland: "Be kind and be grateful that God is kind, it is a happy way to live." For some reason I was in tears during his talk and I am looking forward to reviewing it again and listening deeper to find out what it was that I was reacting so strongly too.
Elder Quentin L.Cook : "Awaken fully to faith." "We emphasize our faith not our fears." Always a good idea!!
Pres. Dieter F. Uchtdorf - wow, very direct and powerful!! "Refusing to forgive is a gregious sin" STOP IT!! and most important - "The merciful will obtain mercy."
Elder Russell M. Nelson: "Our degree of gratitude is a measure of our love of Him." What an amazing gift our bodies are... I need to take better care of my body and my spirit and give thanks always and in all ways!!
There are so many more... an I will comment on them later, but I have to say the one that jumped out and grabbed me today was that of Elder Larry Y. Wilson: Speaking about parenting and compelling and how if we are compelling someone who is able to make the decision for themselves to live righteously we are acting unrighteously. Considering I had just been arguing with my son about watching and listening to conference, that really struck me! I know I have a problem with letting my kids make choices for themselves, especially when I don't agree with it, but I know I need to stop taking all the responsibility from them and let them learn for themselves... a hard thing to do!!
I am ever thankful for my membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. What a blessing to be able to learn from His chosen servants. I love General Conference!!
So much to absorb and put into practice!!

It was amazing. I love reading your thoughts. I was so touched by Elder Holland and President Uchtdorf and Eyring's. I am so grateful we can continue to strive to improve. I love that I didn't feel beat up but encouraged to keep trying--He is there and He is merciful. What a blessing.
I had typed up a list of questions to take with me to Conference and stapled them in my notebook and am so grateful they were answered.
As a control freak who always thinks she knows what is best for EVERYONE, Elder Wilson was one I REALLY NEEDED TO HEAR.
