You know they say...
You know they say that time flies by and it will be gone before you know it, so enjoy it! Well, I have come to the conclusion recently that 'they' are right! I cannot believe it has been 17 years since I began this journey called marriage with my best friend! Seriously, where has the time gone? It seems like yesterday that I was seeing him for the first time, wondering what we could possibly have in common, but knowing he was the one for me - yes folks, you read it right, I am one of those rare people who knew the moment I saw him that he was who I would spend the rest of my life with. I remember like it was yesterday admiring his muscles - he had great legs and arms!! oh, maybe that was yesterday that I was admiring them as he still does!!:) Seriously, I do not know where the time has gone! We have been through so much together, 18 moves, 2 job losses, 3 business start ups, loss of a father, and a sister, grandparents and aunts and uncles. The birth of 3 boys and 2 girls and all the ups and downs of parenthood, are now just embarking on that magical time of teenagers!! We've been through really lean times and lean times ;) Sadness, heartbreak, laughter, joy, faith building experiences and faith trying experiences. Which really are the same thing! Many church callings, jobs and titles, and now are running a restaurant together. What a crazy life we have led! As I reflect on the experiences we have shared together, how grateful I am to my heavenly Father for leading me to such an amazing man to share the journey with. He is my rock, (yes, sometimes he is as hard headed as one!) but he is literally the one I lean on and rely on. He is as steady as they come. He doesn't have a lot to say, but is a deep thinker and listens while I rattle on and on! He is so abundantly talented!! I can't think of anything that he cannot do or figure out how to do!! He is an artist on paper, canvas and with anything he builds or landscapes. He can grow anything and is truly a pit master! He leads by example and has a funny sense of humor. He is someone who cares deeply as well. He is really one of the good guys and I feel so lucky to be with him. I look forward to many more years together and to enjoying some of the fruits of our labors! I am told that will happen and I choose to believe it! :)
I love you Gregory Alan Farley and am so thankful for you!! Happy Anniversary! XOXO
