Here we are and it is Christmas time once again!! There are so many things I love about this time of year - First and foremost is the MUSIC!! I love Christmas songs - most of them!! I could do with out some of them, but overall they all have a message of love, hope and happiness. I love the white snow as it covers the brown ground and bare trees, the beauty and awe of a truly silent snowy night. I love the decorations and the Christmas lights, there is just something about seeing colorful light glowing in the dark that brightens my mood. I love the Christmas Stories of service, love, fun and especially about our Savior and those people truly seeking and finding Him. I love to give gifts -always wish I could do more! I love the parties and the family gatherings. I love getting cards from friends near and far and seeing how their families are growing. I love how I feel when I am truly focused on the meaning of the season. I love the smells! Pine tree's cinnamon pine cones, baking etc. I even love the cheesy Christmas Hallmark shows. I love the memories of Christmas' Past and the hope of Christmas' future. I am really trying to focus on these things I love this time of year and hopefully share that joy with my family. It is easy to get sidetracked by stress and the monetary issues of not being able to give what is wanted, and wondering how to make it all come together, but I am determined to not let it happen this year!! What are some of the things you do to keep the real Christmas Spirit alive in your heart and those of your families?

I feel just like you do--I LOVE THIS TIME OF YEAR. I want to slow down and really take it all in. Now that I have most of the invitations out for the wedding reception in mid-January, I think I can slow down a little. I'll be very happy once I get Elder Rob's calendar done.
BTW, send me your address--I'd love to send you a Christmas card ; )
