My husband can never leave town again!

It seems that every time Greg goes out of town, I get to face some kind of catastrophe on my own (thankfully, I usually have help from my wonderful family), so almost on my own! This week is no exception...

Today I had to make the horrible and heart wrenching decision to put our cute little Sadie to sleep. She apparently ate something that was blocking her intestines.... and to make a long story short... it was either to an 'exploratory surgery' that would range anywhere between $900-$1300, and hope it fixed the problem and that it didn't get more complicated while they were in there, or put her to sleep. After watching her not be herself and in obvious pain for 2 days and already paying for less drastic measures... I basically just ended up paying $400 to kill my dog! (That was the total cost of everything... both vets and treatment etc.)Yes, I am a little bit bitter at my life situation (yes, I know it's my own fault) that forced me to make such a horrible decision, and frustrated that we could not find one single vet in the surrounding area that would do the surgery and take payments... it was all up front or nothing. So... for us it's the nothing. I am so sad, and I am not looking forward to telling the kids. Special thanks to Lori and Blaine and Mandi and Jared and Becky for your help with the kids and being my moral support and just for not making me do it all alone!

Goodbye Sadie! We will see you later, maybe you can play with Kristen until we see you again! maybe she'll have better luck at helping you to understand we only eat food! Love you and miss you already!
