Don't Forget!

No matter what else gets done tomorrow or today as the case may be... Please go VOTE!! Let your voice be heard and stand up for what you believe in! Unless of course you are all for Obama... then... you might want to stay home and clean your house, or get the grocery shopping done, or one of the other million and one things that always need to get done! ;)
Just a side note... was anyone else upset by the news story last night with prominant LDS members aka Barbara /Steve Young saying that the would vote against Prop. 8 in Calif. because her brother is gay? It really bugged me. Just because a family member has made that decision, doesn't make it okay. Isn't prop. 8 just against same sex marriage? Okay to be fair, Steve didn't say what he was voting for, only that it was private and he supports the Church, however, I guess she has been very vocal about it. It made me wonder for a few sec. what I would do in her situation. I don't mean to sound totally heartless, but that is something I just don't agree with and never will.
Anyway... go VOTE!!!

I was really saddened to hear about the Young's and proposition 8. I guess that is where our agency comes in. I agree with you about voting. I am sure I will get a call from Grandma Evans tomorrow to remind me! VOTE! VOTE! VOTE!

So important to vote.

I'm having a touch time understanding the whole Steve Young thing.

and the whole prop 8 is not taking away anyone's right. it is just stating that marriage is between a man and a woman and california has domestic partnership rights..anyway...satan is out in full force...

I'm amazed at how easily people find themselves wishy washy on their beliefs these days. Prop 8 doesn't ban gay marriage, it re-instates the already present definition of marriage as being between a man and woman ONLY. The people of California already voted on this in 2000 or 2001 and some rogue judge ignored the voice of the people. Thanks for posting this, it's important for everyone to know where they stand, especially where they stand with the Almighty God!

I was really saddened by the "Young Family" voting against Prop 8, and wondered if she had family that would be affected. Nontheless, my question I have been thinking about is that if we don't follow the prophet do we really believe he is a prophet, and how will we answer that question in a temple recommend interview? Then again, how many times have I not followed the prophet as well as I should have? Food for thought for myself!
