I'm officially from the 'olden days!'

Some of my favorite 'olden day' pictures!

Can you see the Donny and Marie Dolls?

Well I knew it was coming. I mean, I have had it hinted to me often enough by those oh so much younger and smarter than me. I am officially from the 'olden days' as of yesterday! How did I find this out? Well... I was sitting and watching the Pioneer Day Concert with the Osmonds Sunday morning and Austin walks into the room just as they are announcing Donny and Marie (remember these are the icons I grew up with and treasured my very own Donny and Marie dolls wearing their purple and pink sparkly outfits)and he says "they're still alive?!" with total amazement! Now since that was not aimed directly at me I just laughed and let it slide, only to be confronted with my 'ancientness' a few hours later by Caden. I interrupted a discussion between Bryson and Caden on when and how fast they were learning computers. They were saying things like "I learned that in first grade or second or I was supposed to learn that in third..." I piped in with "I didn't learn the computer until I was in High School." Caden immediately responded with the death blow..."yea but that was back in the olden days!" Gasp!!! Weren't the olden days the days of buggy's and horse drawn carts and the first automobiles? Apparently, those days are now ancient history and my day is now known as 'the olden days'!! ;) LOL!

That is too bad! I am glad I am so much younger than you so I don't have to worry about the olden days yet!

I love it! That is so funny. I think my kids think the same thing about me. Lucky for us we know the truth!

I am glad I am from the
'olden days!' Good times, good times. Those are some great pictures. Andrew looked at your Christmas picture and said, "That looks like Austin if he were a girl!" LOL Maybe you shouldn't repeat that to Austin!

I understand. A young cashier the other day totally called me "old school". I think it was a nice way of saying I am outdated.
Love your ancient photos. I am surprised they had color photos from your day.
Hee hee

If you are "olden days", then I must have escaped from a museum. I did grow up in good times, though.
