I keep looking at all my friends and families blogs and it seems like everyone is having a great time and doing so many things... and I feel like I am stuck in a rut!
I want to do fun things, but I don't have the time, money or energy!! Actually, I guess I do have the time, we all have the same 24 hours! I know it is all about finding ways to create memories with what you have and enjoying the moment etc... in theory I know all of that, but I just can't seem to figure out how to put it into play in my life. Sorry... just rambling!
Anyway, Bryn said something to me that really touched me this week. I was putting her to bed and putting her blanket on her and she said,"Mom, did you know that when my teacher asked me what my treasure was I said this blanket?" I asked her why it was her treasure and she replied, "cause my grandma made it just for me." I almost cried right then... as it was my grandma and her great grandma that made it for her. I was so happy that she treasured this special gift and did so without any input from me! Those are the awesome moments that happen every so often in motherhood, where you realize that because of or maybe in spite of everything I do... sometimes they really do get it!

Isn't this such a great way to journal for family.
I love the song you posted the words to a few months back.
Fun to see pics of your grandparents. I remember living by them growning up.
What a great story. I think its amazing what our kids can remember and think about. It's not what you are doing with your kids, its how much love they feel while doing it. I truly believe they can have as much fun washing the dishes with you as some big family trip. I think you are doing such a great job! Love ya
Bam! I call that a PayDay! Sometimes they are few and far between, but they sure are nice when they do come!
Remember, cute cuz - there is a time and season for everything. I was right there in your shoes with my little ones not too long ago. Sounds like you are enjoying some pretty precious moments. Good for you! They go by fast :)
