I should have seen it coming!

Have you ever done something that you just knew wasn't a good idea, but you went ahead and did it anyway? Well after 38 years, you would think I had learned that lesson... but no!
Yesterday we were blessed with another 2 feet of snow... I think we are up to about 5 1/2 feet! It has been a crazy winter! Anyway, Greg went out and started at the top hill of our property and made a tube run... the kind that looks like a water slide with sides and curves. After the storm yesterday, he had to go out and redo it today... he also had to dig a path along the side of it so that our kids could actually get back up the hill. He was out working on it and the girls went out with him to try it out. I have been battling another sickness... this time a really sore throat and cough, so I originally declined the invite to "come play mom!" Bryn insisted that even though she originally thought it would be dangerous, it wasn't, it was just so much fun, so I should try it. Well, I finally gave in and went out to take pictures... then decided (here is the moment where I should have known better) to just try one run down the hill. Now, I had already seen the girls go down, much faster than I liked... (they loved it) they naturally stopped at the bottom as they are both lightweights! Well, one might think that the thought would have run through my mind that I was much, much heavier than my girls and I would go much faster and have a harder time stopping before the neighbors driveway snow bank... well the thought did enter my mind... right before the tube stopped and I continued the flight, face first into the fluffy snow! My coat doesn't zip up, so I also got a bra full of the refreshing stuff! I sat up sort of laughing and sputtering in time to hear Bryn say "Wasn't that fun mom?!" Oh yeah... I always enjoy a face plant into the snow!:) Then I sank up to my hip trying to get out. All I can say for myself is that I wasn't thinking clearly and I should have seen it coming!!
P.S.
The ending place has now been fixed to avoid any further face plant possibilities! The boys are just sorry they missed it!!

Love that you are doing this. I am getting nervous about next week. Hope you are making great notes and it doesn't snow.
