Just a quick thank you...

I had to have somewhere to write down a few thoughts and since this is basically my thought catcher, this is where it will be written. I want to say thank you to my fabulous husband, who will probably never read this. Thank you for listening to the Spirit and for giving me the push I needed.

This past weekend I was invited to go on a young women's retreat to Bear Lake as it would be an opportunity to get to know the girls before camp. ( I was called to be the assist. camp director) I was planning on going when we had a little family issue develop that also included members of the ward. I was so discouraged with things and the area that we live and how to raise a teenage son and working vs. being at home etc... you get the gist, and I didn't really know anyone that I would be going up with and just didn't want one more thing that I felt I 'had' to do. So I called and said I would not be going. Then my husband quietly convinced me that I needed to go to better fulfill my calling and that everything else would still be here when I got back. To make a long story short... I had a great time getting to know the leaders and the girls... haven't stayed up laughing and talking until 3:30 a.m. for a long time!! Anyway, I was reassured on a spiritual level on a few things as well. I made new friends and had a much needed break from everyday stress.

When I came home, it was to a clean house and a note on the table from Greg along with flowers and a drink! I was so touched and so thankful that I have the incredible husband that I do. He put my needs and wishes in front of his own long list of things to get done. He does so much for me and is my strength when I am weak! I am so lucky to have him for eternity!! I have pretty great kids too, but this one's for him! So thank you to a loving husband who in this instance did know what was best for me and of course to an always loving Heavenly Father who in every instance knows what is best - I just need to remember to ask! Thanks also to the girls and the leaders who accepted me and really made me laugh!! Now I just need to get some sleep!!
