It's that time again!

Time to set GOALS!! or RESOLUTIONS!! Well this year I am going to actually do it, write them down and put them where I can see them and watch my goals and dreams become my reality!

On the wings of dreams - by Doug and Judy Cloward (Pres. of Heritage Makers)
I opened my eyes to a world of dreams -there were butterflies to chase,
so many choices - possibilities, I was eager for the race.
I looked out beyond the reach of my hand, but not the reach of my mind.
They called it a dream and said I could try - just leave the 'present' behind.
I tried and it worked, one step at a time - soon I was able to walk.
It wasn't enough, so dreaming again -- soon I was able to talk.
My dreams really worked! I did everything-- 'twas always just as I thought!
I wanted to fly, I'd have so much fun. But they said, "That's not your lot."
I protested "Why? It takes just a dream. I can--I'm willing to try!"
But they shook their heads, and banished my dream, saying "such thoughts are a lie."
So I went through life, my dreams left behind--and I never left the ground.
I learned about luck, forgetting my dreams -- and settled for what I found.
Then came a dreamer, with passion and faith -- I watched, but then shook my head.
But to my surprise, he would not give up, accomplishing all that he said.
So back to my dream, I looked to the sky and declared, "I can too fly!"
It just took some time, it wasn't just luck, only dreams and the will to try.
My fears disappear on wings of my dreams -- there is nothing I cannot do.
Call me a dreamer, I don't mind at all -- but know, that today, I flew!

This poem was given to me a few years ago when I attended a training called dream team. I just got back out my 'dream book' that I made and looked at my dreams and goals. At the end of the book, I have this poem and I thought to myself that I, myself have been the doubter that let my dreams get squashed... but they are still there just waiting for the passion and faith to reignite the fire.
There is no better time than now! This is my year! I intend to say next year at this time that my fortieth year was absolutely fabulous!
