I will be the first to admit that I have had my doubts about this election and those who are running for President. However, I have to say that I have been so proud to be aligned with the Republicans tonight in listening to Rudy Giuliani and Sarah Palin. Talk about plain speaking and conviction. Wow! I am re-energized and hopeful for the future if she is the Vice President. I have always been a champion of the underdog and just want to see what is right and just happen and it looks and sounds like Sarah Palin is just that kind of person.
I encourage everyone to take part and be a part of the political process. Make your choices wisely and talk to your children about what is going on... you'd be amazed what they hear at school! If you are not registered to vote - go register! And VOTE!! This is our country - and we have a God given right, even a responsibility to uphold our values and elect those who do.
Okay, getting off my soap box to go watch the rest of the show!!

Amen! I didn't hear Guiliani but I heard some of Palin's speech. I have been reading about her and so far I am very impressed. I love that she is a mom, she is feminine, strong and has some strong religious convictions as well. I loved how she said watch the actions or deeds of the candidates, not just listen to great speakers.
I watched her when she was first introduced last week, but I didn't see the convention tonight. I am very impressed with her and hope this incident regarding her brother in law gets resolved.
I watched her speech on the internet. I have to say that now McCain has a fighting chance! Go Sarah! Several years ago I read McCain's book about his time in the POW camp in Vietnam. I recommend it also. I wish I could remember the title:(
