One pitch at a time!

Ever feel like this?!

It seems like Sept. has quite literally flown by! Life has been so busy and yet when I have a second and think 'I need to post on my blog' I can't think of anything to say! How is that for a sad commentary on my life! It is going by so fast that I can't remember what is going on!! So from here on out it is rambling thoughts of what has been going on the past few weeks.(I know you are all saying...'what do you mean from here on out? She always rambles!')

All of the kids are doing great in school. Unfortunately the magic of summer did not take away the homework phobia from children A&C, but I guess that would take a lot more magic! B is joining a club called Young Einstiens and is vey excited about it. I am not sure why, as it is just additional work, but hey, whatever works for him!! B#2 is loving kindergarten she thinks it is fabulous to have friends! Imagine that! (Yes, I am feeling a little guilty that she is only now experiencing this!) B#3 likes it best when she gets to play with her cousin Kallie.

B,C and B#2 are all playing soccer this fall and so far so good. I am Bryn's coach and Greg takes the boys, hopefully things will work out so we can see all of their games at some point!

I am now working 3 days a week and every other Sat., so .... I will need to become much better organized to function. Laundry has piled up (I know, what's new) and the kids think they are starving after school, at least that is what I think they think, since I come home to cleaned out pantry and cupboards. Then homework, while I am trying to do dinner and get them to soccer practices and get the house picked back up, oh and make sure the dog is fed and cleaned up after....well let's just say that there are a lot of things that could be done more effectively!

I also received a church calling yesterday... you guessed it... Primary! What else is there? I wouldn't know as I have been in the Primary for 13 years other than the first couple weeks of living in a new ward! Does that sound bitter? well maybe I am a little, but I will get over it! I am a teacher this time... CTR 5!

Other than that, I have been feeling like I need to be a better wife, and friend... and I need to read all of those self help and improvement books that I have piling up for that down time... I will work on those when I am not so tired!!;)

One thing that I did learn this past week at the funeral of Irene Burnett , one thing struck me... maybe because it was put in terms that I can understand well... she lived her life boldly and took it.... ONE PITCH AT A TIME!!

Wow-you must be very busy.

I have so many self-help books--I keep reading and re-reading--and waiting and waiting ; )

Good luck with Primary--enjoy.

Sounds like the fun kind of busy, right?
I can honestly say I have never been a primary teacher, though I served in Primary for 7 years, just never as a class teacher.
And I am OLD.
You must be great with the kiddos.

I take one pitch at a time. Unfortunately I also either get hit with it or totally strike out most of the time!

Too funny about being called back into the primary. At least you're just a teacher and not in the presidency again. Sounds like you're super busy - no wonder time is flying by so fast! I don't know how you do it, I would surely go crazy.

Speaking as an old fart imparting hard earned wisdom to the young: I found it helped me to handle the busy stuff if I set aside just a few moments for stillness each day: no music, no books, no prayers even. Just being still. It was hard a first, but became my cherished sacred moment of the day. Be still. It brought peace.

Two of my favorite self help books are "Simplify" and "Better than you think you are".
Add those to your list if you ever find the time.
When we do find the time, it's just because we let the dishes, and laundry and everything else under the sun pile up while we try to read a few pages.

Cute blog. I love the different backgrounds you choose.

Also *just wanted to pop in and tell you THANKS. You know why. And that meant the world to me!
