Wow! Time flies... and I haven't even been having tha much fun!

All the kids at the Dinosaur Park in April!
Burning the excess wood and brush in our yard!
This is why I have never been a great journal keeper!! I do really well for a little while and then drop out of sight! Oh well, the point is getting back up after a fall, right?!

This is the beginning of a fun and crazy month for us! Bryson, Caden and Brie all have birthdays... it's #8 for Caden so we have his baptism at the end of the month and we also are hosting our extended Family FHE this month. It's just the excuse I need to get the Spring cleaning done! Speaking of cleaning...

The other day I was upset at my boys for whining and complaining about the jobs I was asking them to do... particularly their rooms and laundry. Frustrated, I said on the verge of yelling..."I am NOT your maid!" Caden immediately replies "I sure wish I had one, how much do they cost?" I had to smile as I feel the same way!

Have you noticed how different the kids of today are than we were? They seem so much more aware of everything and a little more cynical! Greg and I were driving to take a movie back with Bryn. She was trying to describe to us the cover of the movie she wanted us to get. It had princess girls and a frog on the cover (Baby Bratz Fairy Tales) Greg said "oh, so the princess kisses the frog?" Bryn immediately replied "of course not!" In the tone of 'what a dumb thing to say... who would kiss a frog?! We got a good laugh out of that. I just love when our kids reveal to us how dumb they really think we are!!

on a totally different note: We had an amazing Stake/Regional Conference yesterday. Elder Lund, Elder Bednar and Elder Eyring spoke a long with Sister Lant. One statement made by Elder Bednar that really stood out to me was "Talking about and knowing something is very different from doing and becoming" Is main message was that of being more concerned and diligent in our homes. He also talked about being consistent in our families. Consistent in showing and speaking our love to each member, in studying the scriptures alone and as a family, in prayer and in sharing our testimonies to one another and consistent FHE. We've done okay with FHE but the rest really need work. So we got up this morning and started! It isn't easy as I am not a morning person, but I know it is important, so we will somehow do it until it is a habit!

Now, speaking of habits... I finally have conquered one of my bad one's! I am going on week 7 of no coke, dr. pepper diet or otherwise! I am rally proud of myself! I was drinking at least 44 oz. a day if not more, sot his is a huge accomplishment for me. It was incredibly hard at fist as I went cold turkey and suffered the horrible migraine's associated with going off caffeine... yea it's not addicting! Ha! But I think it is worth it! I am sleeping better for one thing and I am hoping that it will help me get to bed earlier and up earlier as well! I also started exercising as of last Tues and am working hard at being consistent with that as well. I have a very really desire to lose the baby weight I have been carrying for the past 11 years! I figure I have kept about 10 lbs per kid, so it's time to take it off... hopefully it won't take 11 years!! Althought that spin class may just take 11 years off my life;)!

welcome back....Gregory said "oh I wish I could go there" speaking of the dinosaur land place...he misses y'all and he said "sheri must of typed so fast to get all those words on the page."

Good to see you.

Great job on the no soda.

Gregory is amazed that I am looking at him and typing this too. I am amazing still in his eyes. He hasn't figured out that I am dumb yet like your kids have ;)
