Take time to smell the roses!!When we were first married, Greg gave me the best Valentines day ever. I was working as a dental assistant and just about every time I came back into a room or went out to my car there was another surprise for me! It was a crazy winter day with snow flying and I was amazed that he took the effort... it all ended with a great surprise at home... no I'm not going there... it was a pair of riding boots - I still had a horse then!! I loved the whole day filled with cards and surprises! However, little did I know that that Valentines day was suppossed to tide me over for the next 11 years!! Every year I tell him... a card would have been nice, or just a $5 bunch of flowers?! All to little or no avail!
This year, I guess he decide to redeem himself and surprised me with a dozen long stemmed roses a day early!! Now being a typical hard to please woman... I said "Thank you... but I would have been happy with a card and a $5 bunch of flowers!!"
I can't wait for the day when money isn't tight and I can just enjoy it without worrying about how much it cost or what I could have used the money for instead! No wonder my previous Valentines haven't been the stuff dreams are made of... look at the reception! I guess it's my turn to redeem myself!!
Anyway... Happy Valentines Day! Aren't the roses beautiful?!
